On October 31, 2023, JP Morgan Chase Bank terminated Shyam Suchak following allegations that participated in an outside business activity. FINRA Rule 3270 requires brokers to disclose any business activities they engage in outside their firm, as well as any compensation they may receive from these activities. Many firms have policies that require the firm to approve any outside business. Firms may decline to approve an outside business if they believe it may interfere with the broker’s role with the firm.
