Seth McKinley Fined $10,000 by FINRA

Regulatory Action
On July 25, 2024, Seth McKinely entered into an Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement (AWC) in which he consented to the findings that he participated in private securities transactions totaling $2 million without disclosing his participation in these transactions to, nor seeking approval from, his member firm.
- Seth McKinley allegedly formed an entity to purchase a commercial property in Georgia, and to fund the purchase raised $600,000 from eight investors as part of a private offering.
- He allegedly also raised $1.4 million from 12 investors to purchase a commercial property in Illinois.
In addition to soliciting the investments and investing his own money, Seth McKinkley allegedly drafted marketing materials and executed subscription agreements. The entities allegedly charged a one-percent management fee on the investment funds, and he allegedly received 65% of that fee.
Terms of the AWC
As part of the terms of the AWC, Seth McKinley consented to an 18-month suspension and a $10,000 fine. He has also agreed to pay a disgorgement of $13,000.
