Michael Dmytryshyn Suspended by FINRA and Fired from MSSB

Michael Dmytryshyn (CRD#: 2203199), a registered broker with Ameriprise Financial Services, is the subject of a FINRA suspension and fine. He has also been fired from his position as a broker with MSSB. The above information is from his BrokerCheck Record, accessed on March 6, 2022.

On January 28, 2022, Michael Dmytryshyn entered an Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement (AWC) with FINRA in which he consented to the findings that he used a joint representative code to service certain customer accounts, resulting in an incorrect representative code shown on the trade confirmations. He allegedly changed the trade codes to his personal representative code.

As a result, Michael Dmytryshyn allegedly received a higher commission than he should have according to the agreement. According to FINRA Rule 4511, brokers must accurately preserve books and records. His alleged conduct would also violate FINRA Rule 2010, which requires brokers to uphold high standards of commercial honor.

FINRA fined Michael Dmytryshyn $2,500 and suspended him for 10 days.
