Lola Eyles: Did She Fail to Disclose Investment Fees?

Oct 15, 2021 Investor Disputes

Lola Eyles (CRD #: 4339411), a broker registered with Pruco Securities, is involved in an investor dispute regarding the omission of important information. This is according to her BrokerCheck record, accessed on October 14, 2021. Investors who have worked with Lola Eyles should keep reading.

On August 19, 2021, an investor alleged that Lola Eyles did not fully disclose all of the facts regarding a security’s guarantees and investment risks. The investor also alleges that she did not disclose charges, expenses, and fees. Under Regulation Best Interest, brokers must disclose any information regarding fees and costs at the time of the recommendation.

Regulation BI Requirements

Regulation BI also requires the following:

  • A written disclosure should include material facts relating to conflicts of interest associated with a particular recommendation.
  • Brokers must not put their financial interests ahead of their customer's.

Suitability Requirements

Brokers are required to factor in charges and fees when they consider an investment’s overall suitability. FINRA Rule 2111 requires that investors only recommend investments that fit their investor’s financial goals and risk tolerance.

Brokers must also accurately describe investments and they must fully understand and disclose any risks.

Denied Dispute

The investor sought $95,076.73 but the dispute was denied. “Denials” simply mean that the firm denies their representative engaged in misconduct – they do not indicate that a third party has reviewed the dispute. Investors can still recover their losses following a denial through FINRA arbitration.
