On October 6, 2022, several beneficiaries alleged that Kevin Cook engaged in elder abuse by taking client assets without oversight between December 1, 2015, and August 12, 2022. They sought $375,000 in damages but the dispute was denied by the firm.

However, investors should know that firms don’t need to allow an outside review before denying a dispute. Investors can still pursue FINRA arbitration after a denial and may be able to recover their losses.
