Kevin Chiu Suspended by FINRA

Kevin Chiu (CRD #: 6819859), a broker formerly registered with J.P. Morgan Securities, has been suspended by FINRA, according to his BrokerCheck record, accessed on February 8, 2023. If you have questions about his alleged conduct as a broker, read on.

FINRA Suspension

On November 14, 2022, Kevin Chiu received a Letter of Suspension for allegedly failing to respond to FINRA requests for information. His suspension began on December 8, 2022, and will continue until it converts to a bar or FINRA receives the requested information.

FINRA Rule 9552

FINRA Rule 9552 penalizes members who fail to provide documents, information, or testimony requested by FINRA with a suspension. Members have the opportunity to request an end to their suspension within three months of its imposition, after which it becomes a permanent bar.

Termination from J.P. Morgan Securities

On December 31, 2021, Kevin Chiu was fired from JPMorgan Chase Bank during an internal review into allegations that he made unauthorized withdrawals from a J.P. Morgan Securities client’s affiliate bank account for personal use.

FINRA Rule 2150

FINRA Rule 2150 forbids brokers from misusing investors’ funds.
