Investor Dispute
On July 15, 2022, an investor alleged that Johnna Baker failed to follow her instructions to liquidate a Prudential Premier Retirement Variable Annuity in June 2022. The client alleged that this failure to follow instructions led to a $12,000 loss, plus a penalty, and that her accounts experienced approximately $177,000 in losses in 2022.
The client sought to recover that $177,000 but the dispute was denied by the firm.
However, investors should know that firms can deny disputes without an external review. Investors may be able to recoup their losses by pursuing FINRA arbitration after a denial.
