On July 3, 2023, Chapin Davis permitted John Baer to resign following allegations that he failed to maintain an insurance license required to conduct insurance business. 

This is not the only employment disclosure on his record. On May 12, 2021, John Baer voluntarily resigned from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. The firm alleged that he had exercised discretion in a non-discretionary account. Unauthorized trading violates FINRA Rule 3260.
