Jesus Alvidrez Barred from FINRA

On May 17, 2022, Jesus Alvidrez consented to the entry of findings that he refused to respond to FINRA requests for documents and information as part of an investigation.

According to a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver & Consent (AWC), FINRA began an investigation into a Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration (Form U5) filed by Transamerica Financial Advisors on August 14, 2020.

The AWC alleges that this Form U5 states that Jesus Alvidrez resigned from the firm while under investigation for potentially engaging in outside business activities as well as other undisclosed reasons.

FINRA Rules 8210 and 2010

FINRA Rule 8210 requires members to promptly respond to FINRA requests for documents, information, and testimony in connection with FINRA investigations.

Failure to provide information also violates FINRA Rule 2010, which holds brokers to high standards of professional honor.

Sanctions

Jesus Alvidrez consented to an indefinite bar from associating with FINRA members in all capacities. The bar began May 17, 2022.

Resignation from Transamerica Financial Advisors

On August 14, 2020, Jesus Alvidrez was permitted to resign from Transamerica Financial Advisors following allegations that he was engaging in unauthorized outside business activity. An investigation by the firm allegedly found that he was using an unapproved sales presentation and had displayed unauthorized signage at an office location not approved by the firm.

FINRA Rule 3270 requires brokers to disclose to their firm any activities they may be compensated for outside of their role as a broker.
