Jerome Wenner Allegedly Failed to Follow Client’s 401k Rollover Instructions
Jerome Wenner (CRD #: 4351021), a broker registered with Edward Jones, allegedly failed to follow a client’s instructions, according to his BrokerCheck record, accessed on June 27, 2023. If you have questions about his alleged conduct as a broker, read on.
Investor Dispute
On April 11, 2023, an investor alleged that Jerome Wenner completed a full 401k rollover into a Roth IRA, instead of a partial rollover intended to limit the client’s tax implications to $30,000. The client sought $58,000 in damages but the dispute was denied by the firm.
Investors should know, however, that firms don’t need to allow an external review before denying disputes. Investors can still pursue FINRA arbitration and potentially recover their funds after a denial.
FINRA Rule 2010
FINRA Rule 2010 holds brokers to high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.
