Jennifer Basey Subject of Preferred Stock Dispute

On September 5, 2023, an investor alleged that Jennifer Basey assured them that their investments were safe and selected preferred stocks without the customer’s consent. These investments allegedly led to losses. The investor sought $75,000 but the dispute was denied. investors should know, however, that firms can deny disputes without any external review. Following a denial, investors may still be able to recover their funds via FINRA arbitration.
Regulatory Actions

On March 24, 2023, Jennifer Basey entered into an Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement (AWC), in which she consented to the findings that she falsified a customer’s signature and falsified additional customer initials on paperwork used to facilitate transfers of funds.
