Jeffrey Bogart Consents to a One-Year FINRA Suspension

FINRA Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent Agreement

According to an Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement dated September 13, 2021, Jeffrey Bogart consented to the findings that he allegedly structured cash withdrawals totaling $54,600 from different bank accounts in amounts below $10,000 to avoid federal reporting requirements that would have caused those financial institutions to file currency transaction reports.

According to the AWC, on ten different dates in September 2018 and October 2018, Jeffrey Bogart reportedly made 15 cash withdrawals totaling $54,600 from three different bank accounts. He allegedly structured the withdrawals in amounts below $10,000 to avoid federal reporting requirements that would have caused the financial institutions to file Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). Anti-Money Laundering laws require financial institutions to report withdrawals of more than $10,000. 

Jeffrey Bogart allegedly violated FINRA Rule 2010. FINRA Rule 2010 requires registered representatives to observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.

FINRA Suspension and Fine

As part of the terms of the AWC, Jeffrey Bogart consented to a one-year suspension and a $5,000 fine. 

Jeffrey Bogart’s suspension ends on September 19, 2022.
