Jazmin Carpenter Suspended by FINRA for Allegedly Maintaining Inaccurate Records
Jazmin Carpenter (CRD #: 2696872), a broker registered with Wedbush Securities Inc., was recently suspended by FINRA for allegedly maintaining inaccurate books and records. On March 7, 2022, Jazmin Carpenter consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that she caused her member firm to maintain inaccurate books and records when she allegedly changed the representative code for 388 trades which ultimately resulted in Jazmin Carpenter receiving higher commissions from the trades.
FINRA Rule 4511 requires member firms and associated persons to “make and preserve books and records as required under the FINRA rules, the Exchange Act, and the applicable Exchange Act Rules.” Exchange Act Rule 17a-3(a)(8) requires member firms to make and keep “copies of confirmations of all purchases and sales of securities.” FINRA Rule 2010 requires members and their associated persons, in the conduct of their business, to “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.”

On November 13, 2020, MSSB fired Jazmin Carpenter following allegations that she submitted transactions using an inaccurate production number.
Jazmin Carpenter has passed the following exams:
- Series 66 – Uniform Combined State Law Examination
- SIE – Securities Industry Essentials Examination
- Series 7 – General Securities Representative Examination
She is a registered broker in 13 states and is a registered investment adviser in 23 states.
