Investor Dispute
On November 7, 2022, an investor filed a dispute alleging Jake Kauzlarich inaccurately informed him in March 2022 that the client could not move his investments to cash because the line of credit collateralized with his account did not permit it to hold cash. The client further alleged that Jake Kauzlarich failed to change his risk model to be more conservative.
The client sought $462,000 in damages but the firm denied the dispute.
However, investors should know that firms can deny disputes without an external review. Investors may be able to recover their losses by pursuing FINRA arbitration following a denial.
