Hong McGill Racks Up Fourth Investor Dispute

Hong McGill (CRD #: 2075513), a broker registered with Oppenheimer & Co., has a fourth investor dispute on his BrokerCheck record, as of July 28, 2023. Keep reading for more information about his alleged conduct as a broker.

On May 12, 2023, an investor alleged that they had suffered heavy losses due to Hong McGill’s lack of knowledge. The dispute was denied, but investors should know that firms can deny disputes without any external review. On March 6, 2023, Truist Investment Services terminated Hong McGill following allegations that he violated firm policies that require client confirmation before transferring funds to third parties.
