David Spellman is the Subject of Deceptive Trading Practice Allegations

On October 18, 2023, an investor alleged that David Spellman engaged in deceptive trading practices and violated Chapter 541 of the Texas Insurance Code. This section of the Texas Code prohibits unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices.
The investor is seeking $250,000.
This is not the only dispute on his record involving insurance. On January 2, 2020, an investor alleged that David Spellman recommended a product because premiums would be tax deductible but the investor allegedly learned after consulting with an independent CPA that premiums were not deductible. The investor alleges she was given false information to influence her decision to purchase the policy.
