On February 18, 2022, Brandon Autiero was permitted to resign from his position with Equitable Advisors, LLC. The firm permitted his resignation following a request for information and following his admission that he violated ethical standards during a FINRA registration exam.

FINRA Rule 8210 

FINRA Rule 8210 provides for the authority of FINRA staff to request information pursuant to an investigation, complaint, examination, or proceeding authorized by FINRA. Under this rule, FINRA is not only permitted to request information from brokers, but is also permitted to request the inspection of books, records, and accounts of a suspected member pursuant to any of these matters.
