Amy Marx Suspended by FINRA

Amy Marx (CRD #: 2976011), a broker formerly registered with Osaic Wealth, has been suspended by FINRA, according to her BrokerCheck record, accessed on April 9, 2025. Read on to learn more about her alleged conduct as a broker.

FINRA Suspension

On February 3, 2025, Amy Marx received a Letter of Suspension alleging that she failed to comply with an arbitration award or settlement agreement or to adequately respond to a FINRA request for information about the status of her compliance.

These allegations were made in relation to a dispute filed on, November 18, 2024, which alleged that Amy Marx breached a promissory note. An arbitration award made Amy Marx liable for $100,000 in damages plus interest of 9.25% per annum and accrued interest of $12,320. You can read the arbitration award here.

Article VI, Section 3 of FINRA By-Laws

Article VI, Section 3 of FINRA By-Laws allows FINRA to suspend or cancel the membership of any member who fails to comply with arbitration awards or settlement agreements.

FINRA Rule 9554

FINRA Rule 9554 penalizes brokers who fail to comply with arbitration awards or settlements by suspending or canceling their registration. Brokers have 21 days to request a hearing before their suspension or cancellation becomes final.
