FINRA Suspension

On July 29, 2025, Venugopal Reddy consented to the entry of findings that he allegedly participated in private securities transactions without providing prior notice to World Choice Securities.

According to a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver & Consent (AWC), Venugopal Reddy allegedly formed an investment fund and several affiliated entities with a partner in October and November 2021 in order to raise capital to invest in early-stage technology companies. He allegedly disclosed and was approved by his firm to participate in these entities and their investment-related activities.

Between November 2021 and October 2022, Venugopal Reddy allegedly participated in transactions involving nine investors who committed investments to the fund and affiliated entities. He allegedly raised approximately $5 million in capital by assisting in the solicitation of these investments and executing subscription agreements on behalf of the fund and its entities.

Venugopal Reddy allegedly failed to disclose his participation in these private securities transactions to World Choice Securities or receive approval prior to these transactions. He allegedly received approval after the firm discovered his involvement.

The AWC concluded that these allegations constitute violations of FINRA Rules 3280 and 2010.

FINRA Rule 3280

FINRA Rule 3280 requires brokers to provide written notice to their firm before engaging in private securities transactions.

FINRA Rule 2010

FINRA Rule 2010 holds brokers to high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.
