On May 16, 2024, Aegis Capital Corp fired Tim Jefferson following allegations that he had failed to respond to a follow-up request for information from FINRA. He has since allegedly been unresponsive to calls and emails from the firm. 

Tim Jefferson was also fired on October 16, 2023, by Ameriprise Financial Services. The firm alleged that he had made impermissible use of login credentials for a client who was also his spouse. There is a client dispute by Tim Jefferson’s spouse, dated May 16, 2024, alleging he had misappropriated funds from her accounts.
