On May 23, 2022, Tarik Nehmatullah consented to the entry of findings that he allegedly refused to provide documents and information requested as part of a FINRA investigation. This investigation allegedly concerns an amended Uniform Termination Notice of Securities Industry Registration (Form U5) filed by Key Investment.

The amended Form U5, filed on September 4, 2021, allegedly disclosed that Tarik Nehmatullah accepted a $55,000 loan from a bank and investment client without notifying Key Investment.

By allegedly refusing to provide information, Tarik Nehmatullah violated FINRA Rules 8210 and 2010.

FINRA Rules 3240, 8210, and 2010

FINRA Rules 3240 defines the conditions under which FINRA members can borrow to or lend from customers. Members may or may not be required to disclose and receive approval for their arrangement from their firm, depending on firm policy.

FINRA Rule 8210 requires members to provide documents, information, and testimony upon request by FINRA.

FINRA Rule 2010 requires brokers to maintain high standards of commercial honor and ethical behavior. Many kinds of misconduct qualify as violations of this rule.

Sanctions

Tarik Nehmatullah was permanently barred from associating with FINRA members in all capacities starting on May 23, 2022.

Discharge from Wells Fargo Clearing Services

On May 23, 2018, Tarik Nehmatullah was fired by Wells Fargo after allegedly initiating multiple transfers from his personal bank accounts at various financial institutions without sufficient funds for transfers.
