Maria Acevedo Suspended by FINRA Following Termination from Merrill Lynch

FINRA suspended Maria Acevedo’s registration following allegations that she failed to respond to FINRA requests for information. In accordance with FINRA’s Notice of Suspension letter dated December 16, 2021, the suspension began January 10, 2022. Pursuant to FINRA Rule 9552, if Maria Acevedo fails to request termination of the suspension within three months, she will automatically be barred on March 21, 2022.
This is not the only disclosure on Maria Acevedo’s record. On February 23, 2021, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith fired Maria Acevedo. The firm alleged that she had altered client documents. FINRA Rule 4511 requires brokers to maintain accurate books and records.
