Judah Spinner Investigated by FINRA

Judah Spinner (CRD #: 7039921), a broker formerly registered with PFS Investments, allegedly engaged in undisclosed outside business activities, according to his BrokerCheck record, accessed on December 6, 2024. Read on to learn more about his alleged conduct as a broker.

FINRA Investigation

On November 8, 2024, FINRA recommended that disciplinary action be brought against Judah Spinner following an investigation.

FINRA alleged that Judah Spinner failed to disclose outside brokerage accounts, outside business activities, and private securities transactions to his firm, in violation of FINRA Rules 3210, 3270, 3280, and 2010.

FINRA Rule 3210

FINRA Rule 3210 prohibits brokers from opening an investment account at any other brokerage firm besides the firm where they are registered representatives, unless they have the prior written consent of their firm. 

FINRA Rule 3270

FINRA Rule 3270 requires brokers to inform their firm of any outside business activities or any investments sold away from the firm. The brokerage firm may prohibit the activity if the firm believes the proposed activity may compromise the broker’s duties. Firms may also require brokers to seek approval of any outside business.

FINRA Rule 3280

FINRA Rule 3280 requires brokers to provide written notice to their firm before engaging in private securities transactions.

FINRA Rule 2010

FINRA Rule 2010 holds brokers to high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.

Outside Business Activities

Judah Spinner’s detailed BrokerCheck report discloses the following outside business activities:

  • Selling investment-related products for affiliates of PFS Investments
  • Selling loan products for Primerica Mortgage
  • Referring clients to home security and automation products, compensated by Primerica Client Services

Termination from PFS Investments

On January 18, 2024, PFS Investments fired Judah Spinner after allegedly discovering that he was listed as the founder of BlackBird Financial, an undisclosed outside business activity.
