John Ginsburg Fined and Suspended by FINRA
John Ginsburg (CRD #: 3022789), a broker registered with Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation, was suspended from December 2023 until January 2024. This disclosure appears on his BrokerCheck record, accessed on February 14, 2024. Keep reading if you have questions regarding his alleged conduct.
FINRA Suspension
On November 15, 2023, John Ginsburg entered into an Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement (AWC) with FINRA in which he consented to the findings that he falsified 19 firm documents for 18 customers signatures on blank or incomplete forms. After the customers allegedly executed the blank or incomplete forms, Ginsburg allegedly added missing information.
These documents allegedly included mutual switch forms, account rollover analysis forms, and transfer of assets forms. The missing information allegedly included material information regarding proposed investments and the costs and fees associated with those investments.
Terms of the AWC
As part of the terms of the AWC, FINRA consented to a one-month suspension and a $5,000 fine. You can read a copy of the AWC here.
FINRA Rule 2010
FINRA Rule 2010 holds brokers to high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade. Falsifying signatures would violate this rule.
