John Abolarin is the Subject of a Regulatory Action

John Abolarin (CRD #: 2659399), a broker registered with PFS Investments, has been suspended by FINRA. This suspension appears on his BrokerCheck record, accessed on October 21, 2024. Keep reading if you have questions regarding his alleged conduct.
Regulatory Action
On September 6, 2024, John Abolarin consented to the entry of findings that he engaged in outside businesses without providing written notice to his member firm. He allegedly operated an IT consulting business and an e-commerce storefront business. FINRA alleges that he did not disclose his outside business activities until seven years after disclosing his outside business activities to his firm.
As part of the terms of his Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement (AWC), John Abolarin consented to a one-month suspension. You can read a copy of the AWC here.
Outside Business and Selling Away
FINRA Rule 3270 requires brokers to inform their firm of any outside business activities or any investments sold away from the firm. The brokerage firm may prohibit the activity if the firm believes the proposed activity may compromise the broker’s duties. Firms may also require brokers to seek approval of any outside business.
