Termination from Hornor, Townsend & Kent

On October 4, 2024, Jeremy Isleman was fired from Hornor, Townsend & Kent following the filing of a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver & Consent (AWC) with FINRA. The AWC alleged that he claimed to complete a continuing education course required to renew his New York state insurance license when another individual completed it on his behalf instead.

FINRA Suspension

On September 10, 2024, Jeremy Isleman consented to the entry of findings that he allegedly falsely certified to the State of New York that he had completed the required continuing education course needed to renew his state insurance license.

According to an AWC, the State of New York allegedly required individuals holding insurance licenses to complete 15 continuing education credits to renew their license. In November 2021, another individual allegedly completed these credits on Jeremy Isleman’s behalf.

The AWC concluded that these allegations constitute violations of FINRA Rule 2010.

Sanctions

Jeremy Isleman consented to the following sanctions:

  • 1-month suspension from associating with FINRA members
  • $5,000 fine
