Garrett Mayhart Allegedly Executed Unauthorized Stock Transactions

On April 14, 2023, an investor filed a dispute alleging that Garrett Mayhart executed unauthorized purchases and sales of stock starting in approximately 2022. The client further alleges that Garrett Mayhart failed to disclose certain fees. This dispute is currently pending.
FINRA Rule 3260
Unauthorized trading violates FINRA Rule 3260, which restricts brokers from engaging in discretionary trading outside of pre-approved accounts. Both the firm and the client must approve an account before discretionary trading can occur.
