Farrukh Kazmi Allegedly Misrepresented an Investment’s Interest Rate

Investor Allegations 

On April 8, 2024, an investor alleged that misrepresented an investment interest rate. The investor further alleges that Berthel, Fisher & Company Financial Services failed to supervise. The investor is seeking $230,000.

Similar allegations dated July 24, 2020, alleged that Farrukh Kazmi misrepresented unsuitable investments. The dispute settled for $130,000. 

Misrepresentation 

FINRA Rule 2020 forbids the use of deceptive, manipulative, and otherwise fraudulent methods to influence the purchase and sale of securities. The misrepresentation or omission of material facts violates this rule.

Failure to Supervise 3110

FINRA Rule 3110 requires that firms establish systems of supervision to maintain their compliance with securities regulations. This includes appointing supervisors and providing them with Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs).
