Eric Jason Abrahams Suspended by FINRA

2025 FINRA Suspension
On February 21, 2025, Eric Jason Abrahams received a Letter of Suspension from FINRA alleging that he failed to comply with an arbitration award or settlement agreement or to adequately respond to a request for information about the status of his compliance.
These allegations were made in connection with an arbitration award filed on December 27, 2024. In it, Eric Jason Abrahams and another claimant alleged that Deutsche Bank Securities engaged in misrepresentation, failure to supervise, and violation of FINRA Rule 2010 in connection with their employment and book of business.
These claims were denied and Eric Jason Abrahams was made jointly and severally liable for $6,441.50 in monetary sanctions. You can read the arbitration award here.
Through this letter, FINRA indefinitely suspended Eric Jason Abrahams. The suspension will continue until the required payment is made or discharged.
FINRA Rule 2010
FINRA Rule 2010 holds brokers to high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.
FINRA Rule 3110
FINRA Rule 3110 requires that firms establish supervisory systems to ensure their compliance with securities regulations. Firms must appoint supervisors and provide them with Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs) to follow.
Article VI, Section 3 of FINRA By-Laws
Article VI, Section 3 of FINRA By-Laws allows FINRA to suspend or cancel the membership of any member who fails to comply with arbitration awards or settlement agreements.
FINRA Rule 9554
FINRA Rule 9554 penalizes brokers who fail to comply with arbitration awards or settlements by suspending or canceling their registration. Brokers have 21 days to request a hearing before their suspension or cancellation becomes final.
2019 FINRA Suspension
On December 13, 2019, Eric Jason Abrahams allegedly received a notice of FINRA’s intent to suspend him in connection with his alleged failure to comply with an arbitration award/settlement agreement or to sufficiently respond to a request for information about his compliance.
Eric Jason Abrahams allegedly requested a hearing, but failed to provide a completed Statement of Financial Condition form or other documentation related to his financial condition before January 3, 2020.
FINRA alleged that, at a prehearing telephone conference on January 13, 2020, Eric Jason Abrahams stated that he was no longer willing to complete this form or provide documentation, and that he understood that this constituted an abandonment of his defense asserting his inability to pay.
His hearing was allegedly cancelled and the expedited proceeding dismissed as a result.
Eric Jason Abrahams was suspended by FINRA on January 3, 2020. This suspension will continue until the required payment is made or discharged.
