Investor Allegations
On March 28, 2024, Christopher Watkins entered into an Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent agreement (AWC) in which he consented to the findings that he charged customers more than a fair commission on equity transactions by failing to consider all factors relevant to the fairness of those commissions. According to the AWC, the commissions were not justified by market conditions, execution cost, the provision of any special brokerage services, or the value of any brokerage services justified by Christopher Watkins’ knowledge of the securities market. He allegedly overcharged customers by $42,768.72.
